The Mongol Rally 2009

better than ever before...

No sooner than the teams are arriving in Mongolia does the mighty Mongol Rally 2009 come thundering over the horizon like a camel on heat. And this year it is going to be biggerer and betterer than ever before. In fact it's going to be mahusive, if there is such a word, which there isn't, so it's going to be even bigger than that fabricated grammatical monstrosity.

There will be a whole year rammed full of Adventurists shenanigans from afternoon tea with world famous adventurers to parties that will make you go weak at the knees.

The Czechout Party

This year we stormed a castle with bands from all over Europe, DJ's playing in every nook, cranny and dungeon, with saunas, fire-shows and a mini tent city, it was basically a one night festival. This time round we are going to make it even bigger and better. Probably the best party the Czech Republic has ever seen. We are looking at some pretty amazing venues from massive underground labyrinthine caves to gold statue covered mausoleums.

Afternoon Tea with Legends of Adventure

Last year we launched The Adventurists Afternoon Tea in a bid to revive the great British tradition. Now in 09 it's coming back with a mighty sting in its Earl Grey flavoured tail. With totally legendary explorers coming in to tell you about how they were the first person to discover the Congo or how they had a fist fight with an elephant back in 1958. After the Explorers have spun their yarns the world music will pipe up to take people through into the evening with some of the best musical sensations from all corners of the globe.

Christmas Party Shenanigans

There will now be The Adventurists Christmas party to which all your team will get tickets. A bonanza of musical mayhem blasting through the night. With enough Gin and Tonic to hospitalise an army this will be the perfect opportunity to plan you impending adventure, meet fellow adventuring chums and party into the small hours.

The Launch : 18th July 2009

After around 5000 people packed into Hyde Park to witness the ridiculousness of the 08 Mongol Rally, in 2009 we are going to make this a massive spectacle for all to behold. Mothers will cry, friends will cheer and off you'll head into the unknown.

Website Giggery-pokery

The new improved website will let you keep video diaries and tell the world of your exploits. Post pictures of your progress, find out where your fellow team mates are and get in touch to for some chin-wagging.

We'll help you get media coverage and give you advice on fund raising. You get access to the world's most advanced visa machine turning an otherwise bureaucratic nightmare, into a bureaucratic slightly-less-of-a-nightmare.

Charity updates and reports

You will get reports on how the charity money is used and how it changes the lives of the people who benefit from it.

You get access to our system for donating your car to charity. This is managed by our very own registered charity Adventures for Development. This has the most transparent and professional vehicle donation system in Mongolia. It guarantees your vehicle gets sold for a great cause and gives you input on which projects get funded. It also monitors the money and provides reports of how it is going to great use.

Film Festival

In 09 we will be holding the first Adventurists Film Festival showcasing the best of all the videos made from adventures past.

you get us working night and day to make the world less boring and bring you the Adventures your life has been missing.

We'll be holding information afternoons so you can come along and meet us and all your other fellow ralliers and we can give you useful information. Or you can come and put your fingers in your ears so your mind is not polluted with “useful” information leaving you free to face the adventure head-on and clueless.
